Meditlink

Overview

In this project case study, I will be sharing my experience improving the MeditLink platform, a cloud-based solution for digital dentistry. The goal was to enhance collaboration between dentists, labs, and patients by introducing features that streamlined 3D scan sharing, communication, and workflow management.

Throughout the design process, I focused on creating an intuitive user interface that improved case tracking, cloud sharing, and annotation tools. By incorporating user feedback from dentists and labs, I helped refine MeditLink’s usability, making it a more efficient and engaging platform for dental professionals.

Process

Breaking down the project

The design process for Medit Link’s landing page and new communication features involved several key stages. First, I conducted extensive user research to understand the needs of dental clinics and labs, identifying pain points in case management, collaboration, and onboarding. Through Facebook user groups, HubSpot forms, and pop-up surveys, I gathered feedback that highlighted the need for a centralized platform with better scheduling, cloud sharing, and direct communication tools.

Building on strong foundations

Based on this research, I developed user personas and created wireframes to structure both the landing page and new platform features. I then designed and built the first-ever Medit Link landing page, focusing on clear value communication and improved conversion rates. Alongside this, I developed key features such as:

  • A shared calendar for tracking appointments and case deadlines.

  • Cloud-based file sharing for seamless collaboration.

  • Note-adding on 3D scans, enabling better communication between dentists and labs.

After prototyping, I conducted usability testing and iterated on the designs to enhance efficiency and user adoption.

Collaborating with the internal team

Throughout the process, I worked closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure that the new features aligned with user needs and Medit’s business goals. The landing page was developed with Vue.js and optimized for performance, while the new UX features were seamlessly integrated into the platform to improve overall user experience.

Outcome

The final outcome of the Medit Link redesign was a more user-friendly and engaging platform that significantly improved communication and workflow efficiency.

Clinics and labs experienced smoother collaboration, with a 30% increase in workflow efficiency due to the calendar, cloud sharing, and note-adding features. The landing page launch led to a 20% increase in user sign-ups, helping more dental professionals discover and adopt Medit Link. These improvements have made Medit Link an essential part of digital dentistry workflows, enhancing both usability and engagement.
